Tramadol (Generic Ultram)
Tramadol (generic Ultram®) is a centrally acting analgesic, used for treating moderate to severe pain.
Tramadol acts centrally (in the brain) to modulate the sensation of pain and has no anti-inflammatory effect. It is a good option for treatment of pain because patients do not build up a tolerance with extended usage and there is a very low incidence of addiction.
Sumatriptan (Generic Imitrex)
Sumatriptan, taken at the beginning of a migraine headache, may reduce the severity of the headache. It is not effective in preventing migraines. It can also stop the upset stomach, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and noise associated with migraine headaches. This medication is not to be used for other types of headaches.
